To solve this dental problem, here are a few remedies for a toothache.

Clove oil – cloves are used for numbing the nerves. It has eugenol which is a natural anesthetic compound. Just put a few drops of clove oil on a small cotton ball and put it on the aching tooth. The pain will be relieved within a few minutes.

Ginger-cayenne paste – mix equal parts of both the ingredients and add water to make a paste. Roll a small cotton ball in the paste and place it on the aching tooth. Make sure to avoid your tongue. Let the paste ball stay till the pain is relieved.

Saltwater – add some salt to boiling water and make a painkilling mouthwash. Swish the salt water in your mouth for about 30 seconds and then spit it out. Saltwater cleanses the tooth area and draws out the swelling causing fluid.

Peppermint tea – it is also a numbing agent. Put one teaspoon of peppermint tea in boiling water and the use it to cleanse your mouth after it cools down. It will also reduce the swelling and relieve the pain.
